John Morgan
As Founder, Dr. John Morgan established User Insight in 2001, with a vision to make user research faster and more relevant. A pioneer of the user experience industry, Dr. Morgan applies more than 40 years of experience to User Insight’s projects, using a consistent methodology to gather and analyze the voice of the customer in order to provide insight into user behavior, create intuitive products and inform marketing strategy.
Kevin O’Connor
As President, Kevin is responsible for all aspects of the company’s client relations, with a focus on helping clients transform their companies into user-centered organizations. Through offering innovative solutions to all clients, Kevin helped grow User Insight to a firm that today provides user experience research and strategy for 300 clients, spanning 25 different industries. Since 2004, Kevin has expanded User Insight’s international capabilities with the establishment of various international partnerships.
Eric V. Holtzclaw
As Chief Executive Officer, Eric identifies strategic service offerings and oversees operational excellence and innovation across the business. He has spent 20+ years creating opportunities through the practical application of emerging technologies and trends in business. Professional experience includes: founding multiple successful startups, including one of the first profitable Internet enterprises, and implementation of over 30 consumer oriented and internal use products and services worldwide. Eric has the opportunity to interview and understand thousands of people annually, and uses this knowledge of consumer behavior and desires to advise the world’s leading brands to prioritize strategic investments in technology, advertising and marketing for maximum return.
Rachel Walsh
As the Vice President of User Experience Strategy, Rachel supports the company’s strategists with creative guidance and approaches for cultivating long-term, consultative client relationships. Rachel has a passion for building strong teams and she exercises that passion through employee development at User Insight. As a senior researcher, Rachel reviews the strategy team’s deliverables to ensure that they adhere to User Insight’s high standards of quality and actionability.
Michele Hughes
As Controller at User Insight, Michele Hughes manages several of the company’s vital functions, all of which help the business maximize return on financial assets. She manages all financial and HR staff and is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of internal controls. She oversees accounts payable and receivable, manages vendor relationships and performs job cost and profitability analyses. Michele also leads User Insight’s front-of-house staff, making certain that experiences with our facility exude the quality expected of User Insight.
Sam McKevney
As Director of Client Services, Sam McKevney is responsible for managing and cultivating client relationships, as well as conducting new business development initiatives. Sam has helped grow the company to one of the largest qualitative research firms in the United States. His clients have included The Coca Cola Company, AGCO, Cox Enterprises, Microsoft, CVS, TSYS, Bank of America and John Deere among others.
Jonathan Yardley
As Director of Project Management, Jonathan has successfully spearheaded hundreds of complex projects both domestically and internationally, including research assignments in Japan, China, Germany, England, Spain and France. He manages projects involving multi-disciplined requirements for clients including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), UPS and Verizon Wireless.
Corey Shulman
As Strategy Lead, Corey provides move-forward solutions for clients across industries, examining both customer and product lifecycles. Corey regularly partners with Fortune 500 clients to provide evidence-based consulting, engineer long-term solutions, and test and revise products and approaches based on user feedback.
Angie Amon
Drawing upon her 20+ years of research experience, Angie works closely with User Insight’s clients, providing in-depth, strategic advice on how to best capture and utilize the voice of the customer. Angie is committed to providing clients with winning customer experience, marketing and brand solutions and strategies.
Nichole Ovens
As Director of Government Innovation and Strategy, Nichole Ovens builds partnerships and serves as a resource for all of User Insight’s government clients. Having 10+ years of experience managing a diverse portfolio of projects for federal, state and local clients, Nichole holds a strong commitment to government innovation. She is passionate about helping her clients understand and engage with the needs of their stakeholders and audiences to ensure that products, websites, interfaces, mobile applications, and messages provide optimal user experiences.
Elizabeth Hill
As social media strategist at User Insight, Elizabeth Hill works with clients to provide them with a complete picture of their customers through actionable social media data that is paired with User Insight’s behavioral-based qualitative research data. Elizabeth is passionate about unveiling the power of the social media data set to help clients improve products, services, marketing messages and the overall brand experience.
Christian Arens
Chris Arens brings over 13 years of practical agency experience to his role as Director of Agency Partnerships at User Insight. A leader in the advertising and marketing arenas, Chris served as the VP of digital strategy at DraftFCB and VP of integrated media at Carat. His client list has included Motorola, RadioShack, Amazon.com, Electronic Arts, EarthLink, AT&T, Levi’s, MLB.com and AAA, among others. Chris possesses a dogged commitment to applying technology and innovation to advance the objectives of his clients.
